Gravel Boards to protect your fence from moisture.
What are gravel boards?
Gravel boards are primarily used as a barrier between the ground and your fence. They prevent moisture rising up and causing damage to your fence and reducing the lifespan.
What options are there with the materials of the gravel boards?
We stock both timber and concrete gravel boards. There are pros and cons to both. Concrete Gravel Boards lasts longer against the elements but is heavier and tricky to install. Timber is easier to cut and handle.
How are gravel boards installed?
It depends on what kind of posts you have. If you have slotted posts where the fence panels slot in, the gravel boards simply slot in first below the fence panel. If you have standard timber posts the gravel boards can be fitted with gravel board clips or simply screwed into the sides of the posts.
All of our timbers are rough sawn and tanalised for extended weather protection.
