Product Description

Stainless Steel Starter Clips for Composite Decking Installation

deX Classic Composite Decking Starter Clips are designed to securely fix the first and last rows of decking boards while maintaining accurate board alignment. The clips sit discreetly beneath the decking to create a neat finish without visible fixings through the face of the boards.

Manufactured from rust and corrosion-resistant stainless steel for outdoor use, the starter clips are supplied with steel screws and are designed for use as part of the deX Classic Composite Decking installation system.

How to Fit Composite Decking Clips

Starter clips are used at the outer edge of the decking installation to secure the first board into position and can also be used to secure the final row. The decking board is positioned into the clip before continuing the installation with the intermediate fixing clips.

For a finished perimeter, matching deX Classic angle trim can be installed over the exposed edge.

The deX installation guide also recommends pre-drilling with a 2.5mm drill bit when fixing starter or intermediate clips into the composite subframe to help prevent cracking or breaking the high-density WPC material.

We supply wood screws, fixings and building sundries across Bradford, Bingley, Shipley, Keighley and surrounding West Yorkshire areas.
