Shed Air Vents – Prevent Damp & Improve Airflow

Our shed air vents are a simple but highly effective way to improve ventilation inside your garden building. Supplied as a pair, these plastic louvre vents help reduce condensation, damp, and mould build-up inside sheds, summerhouses, and timber buildings.

These vents are commonly fitted during shed builds or retrofitted to existing structures to improve air circulation within the shed.

Why Shed Ventilation Is Important

Timber buildings naturally experience changes in temperature and moisture levels, especially in the UK where wet weather and humidity are common. Without proper ventilation, warm air becomes trapped inside your shed, leading to condensation forming on walls, windows, and stored items.

Over time, this can cause damp, mould growth, and damage to both the timber structure and anything stored inside.

Installing air vents allows a steady flow of air through your shed, helping moisture escape and keeping the internal environment dry and stable.

How Shed Air Vents Work

Our louvre vents are typically installed in opposite corners of the shed to create natural airflow:

  • One vent positioned high on one side
  • One vent positioned low on the opposite side

This setup allows warm, moist air to escape while drawing in fresh air from outside, creating effective passive ventilation.

Shed Vent Installation Service

We can install shed air vents as part of a new shed build or add them to your existing shed. Our team will position vents correctly to ensure effective airflow and long-term performance.

The process is quite simple and involves a small rectangular cut with a jigsaw and then screwing the vent to the face of the shed.
